 BUFFALO, N.Y. (June 27) – The Erie Community College athletics department finished fifth in the scholarship division in the 2010-11 National Alliance of Two Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA) Cup Standings. The Kats, who had national champions in hockey and men’s bowling, finished with 110 points.

 BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo rowing head coach Rudy Wieler has announced that 13 student-athletes have signed a National Letter of Intent to attend UB and compete on the rowing team.
“Overall, I think we have added some good depth,” Wieler said. “We’ve added a number of athletes ready to step into our varsity program.”

BUFFALO, N.Y. – June 23 – Erie Community College had 21 student-athletes named to the 2010-11 Western New York Athletic Conference All-Academic Team. To be considered, a student-athlete had to have completed at least 45 credit hours with at least a 3.3 grade-point average.

BUFFALO, N.Y. – June 6 – Erie Community College had 16 student-athletes named to the 2010-11 NJCAA Region III All-Academic Team. The 16 Kats honored were the most by any Region III institution.

BUFFALO, N.Y. – May 16 – The Erie Community College athletics department held its annual awards night Monday at the Burt Flickinger Athletic Center.
In addition to the presentation of the national championship rings to the hockey and men’s bowling teams, each team honored its most valuable player. The athletics department also named the athletes of the year and honored various individuals for the contributions.

 The Erie Community College cheerleading squad has advanced to the championship round at the 2011 NCA Collegiate National Championship in the All-Girl III Division. The final round starts today at 3:45 p.m.
ECC finished in 11th place after Thursday’s preliminary round but won the Challenge Cup to advance to the championship round.
