CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. - Dec. 17 - Sophomore forward Dirk Thur (Clarence Center, N.Y./Clarence) recorded two goals and added an assist in the Erie Community College hockey team's 8-3 win over Medaille College (ACHA) Saturday afternoon at the Cheektowaga Rec Center. The Kats, ranked second in the NJCAA, improved to 12-2 with the win.

 CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. - Dec. 13 - The NJCAA's top two ranked hockey teams took to the ice Tuesday night at the Cheektowaga Rec Center. Monroe Community College, the nation's top-ranked team, took advantage of a five-minute power play to score four third-period goals and record an 8-2 win over Erie CC, which was ranked second in Tuesday's poll.

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y, - Dec. 11 – The Erie Community College hockey team improved to 11-1 with a 15-0 win over Mohawk Valley Community College Sunday afternoon at the Cheektowaga Rec Center. The 15 goals are the most since ECC picked up 16 in a 16-0 win over Community College of Allegheny County-North Jan. 9, 2010. ECC recorded a 31-1 win over Hudson Valley Community College Jan. 11, 1992.
The Kats, ranked second in the NJCAA polls, scored six first-period goals – two on the power play – on their way to the win.

BUFFALO, N.Y. - Dec. 6 - The Erie Community College hockey team, the reigning NJCAA champion, is ranked second in the first NJCAA poll of the season.
The Kats, 9-1-1, trail only Monroe Community College which defeated ECC Nov. 30. The Kats will play Mohawk Valley Community College Sunday at 12:15 p.m. at the Cheektowaga Rec Center.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Nov. 30 - Three goals in the second period's final 81 seconds helped lift the Monroe Community College hockey team to a 7-2 win over Erie Community College Wednesday night at the Sports Centre.
The Kats will play Penn State-Behrend (ACHA) Saturday at 8:10 p.m. in Erie, Pa.

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. - Nov. 20 - The Erie Community College hockey team improved to 8-0-1 with a 6-2 win over Hudson Valley Community College Sunday afternoon at the Cheektowaga Rec Center. Sophomore defenseman Derek MacNeil (Lake View, N.Y.) led the Kats with a goal and two assists.
The Kats broke a 2-2 tie when Dirk Thur (Clarence Center, N.Y./Clarence) broke in and scored with 3:01 remaining in the second period.

 FAIRPORT, N.Y. – Oct. 22 – The Erie Community College hockey team, the defending NJCAA national champions, opened the 2011-12 season with a 13-3 win over St. John Fisher (ACHA) Saturday at the Thomas Creek Ice Arena.
Sophomore forward Frank Briandi (Tonawanda, N.Y.) and sophomore forward Christopher Kendall (Cheektowaga, N.Y.) each recorded five points, netting two goals to go with three assists. Sophomore forward Dirk Thur (Clarence Center, N.Y./Clarence) recorded three goals.

Penn State Gains Admission into College Hockey America - Press Release

HAVERHILL, Mass -- Robert DeGregorio, Commissioner for College Hockey America (CHA), announced today that Penn State has been official admitted into the CHA beginning with the 2012-13 season.
