Instead of Where's Waldo we are going to play a game it seems we play every offseason the last couple of years: Where is Dwight Howard going next?
By Julian Radney
As Terry Zeh has done many times in his illustrious nine year coaching the women’s team at Canisius College, he had his girls really prepared and on their A game to bounce back after losing their last 4 contest today. In the latest edition of the Play4Kay series the lady Griffs defeated the Loyola Greyhounds 48-39 at the Koessler Athletic Center this afternoon. Canisius’s defense was stifling all afternoon long as they held the Greyhounds to 24% shooting from the floor for the game and 11% from 3. The Greyhounds only had 2 double digit scores for the game.
Filming of a reality television show based on a new minor league basketball team — the Buffalo Warriors — and its owner, Ed Bednarz of Buffalo, began Monday at Antoinette’s on the Hill in West Seneca. The basketball team will make its debut in March 2013 as part of the expanding Premier Basketball League, and will play its home games at a Southtowns venue to be announced in the near future.
Shooting for a new reality television show based on a South Buffalo resident who recently purchased a minor league professional basketball team will begin Monday in Western New York.
“I Bought a Basketball Team” will focus on the Buffalo Warriors and its owner, Ed Bednarz of Buffalo. The team will make its debut in March 2013 as part of the expanding Premier Basketball League.
The Buffalo Warriors, set to make their 2013 debut in the Premier Basketball League (PBL), have made two huge off-season moves by inking 7’4” center Moussa Seck of Senegal and well-known recording artist TreVonn “Diego Trinidad” Campbell to contracts.
The 222-pound Seck, known as the tallest man in Senegal, most recently played professionally for the Texas Legends of the NBA Development League, according to Buffalo Warriors owner Ed Bednarz.
Rumors about the future of professional basketball in Buffalo — and the Buffalo Warriors basketball team — are circulating throughout Western New York and in professional basketball circles. And if these rumors are correct, some major announcements can be expected in the very near future.
When contacted this week, Buffalo Warriors owner Ed Bednarz would only say that he had “No comment ... yet!” Last season, the team participated in the Atlantic Coast Professional Basketball League.
Likes and don't likes of picks 7-20 of the 1st round of the 2012 NBA draft
With the 2012 NBA draft underway my initial thought was I love to see how mature all 3 of these 1st 3 picks are. All were freshman this past year and Anthony Davis, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Bradley Beal can really play. I especially love the Kidd-Gilchrist pick. Him and Cam Newton in Charlotte? They are going to bring playoff action back to Charlotte in the next couple years!!! Love the Dion Waters and Kyrie Irving back court in Cleveland.
