BUFFALO, N.Y. – June 23 – Erie Community College had 21 student-athletes named to the 2010-11 Western New York Athletic Conference All-Academic Team. To be considered, a student-athlete had to have completed at least 45 credit hours with at least a 3.3 grade-point average.
"Our success on the playing fields, courts and arenas has carried over to the classroom," said Peter Jerebko, ECC athletics director, adding ECC athletics teams posted a 2.70 overall GPA, increasing their performance for the second-straight year.
Travis Denman (Amherst, N.Y./Sweet Home) was honored for the second time.
