AMHERST, MA – The State University of New York, Buffalo football team ended the season in style with a dominant, 41-21, win over Massachusetts at McGuirk Stadium on Friday afternoon. The Bulls rolled up 548 yards of total offense, paced by Anthone Taylor's career-high 237 yards rushing and two touchdowns.
"It's a special win. I can't describe it. It means so much to me," interim head coach Alex Wood said. "It was fun to see our seniors go out as winners."
November 28, 2014 –The Toronto Blue Jays tonight acquired All-Star 3B JOSH DONALDSON in a five-player trade with the Oakland Athletics. Among the four players dealt to Oakland by Toronto are now former Bisons pitchers, KENDALL GRAVEMAN and SEAN NOLIN.
Toronto also included INF BRETT LAWRIE and INF FRANKLIN BARRETO in the trade for Donaldson.

The Bulls (2-3) dropped an 87-77 decision to Tulsa (3-2) Friday on day one of the Miami (FL) Thanksgiving Tournament at Bank United Center. The Bulls will face Illinois State Saturday at 3 pm.
CLEVELAND, OH – The State University of New York, Buffalo men's and women's swimming teams had a strong finish to the Magnus Cup Invitational hosted by Cleveland State University on Sunday. Despite missing the first day of competition and not having any divers in the meet due to travel issues, the women's team still managed to finish third of 10 teams and the men finished third out of five teams.

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team is prepped to open 2014-15 competition at the Binghamton Round Robin Dual Saturday and Sunday.
"We are very excited to get our season started," said head coach Lee Nickell. "It seems like just yesterday we had our hearts ripped out in the MAC finals. We have been training hard with a goal of erasing that memory as fast as possible.
Fort Erie, September 4th…For the third consecutive season, Fort Erie Race Track hosted Circle the Course for Cancer and COPE. The event is organized by a number of volunteers made up of race track staff, members of the community and horse people.
For the first time in FELRC history, Circle the Course took place on Puss N Boots day, a day which historically has one of the best attendance records every season.
THE ROCHESTER RED WINGS allowed two runs in the 7th and two more in the 8th to fall 4-3 in the opener of a two-game set against the first-place Syracuse Chiefs on Wednesday night at NBT Bank Stadium. The Wings remain just 2.0 games out of the Wild Card after Pawtucket lost to Lehigh Valley 5-1 in Allentown. With the loss, the Wings were officially eliminated from winning the North division. The Wings - who carried a 3-0 lead into the 7th and a 3-2 lead into the 8th - lost when leading after 7 innings for just the 5th time this season.
The Buffalo Stars Midget U15 team participated in the Niagara University Invitational Tournament this past weekend and claimed victory in a wild weekend of hockey.
In game one on Friday, the Stars opened with a decisive victory over the Niagara Coyotes 6-0. Anthony Gallo recorded a hat trick and single tallies were earned by Josh Hussar, Nathan Gentile and Elliott Whittaker. Connor King was solid in net turning back 17 Coyotes shots to earn the shutout.
Niagara IceDogs head coach and general manager Marty Williamson announced today that the IceDogs have acquired forward Cody Payne from the Saginaw Spirit.
In exchange for the 6’2, 220 lbs. winger, the IceDogs give up a 15th round pick in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection Draft, a conditional third round pick in 2017 and a conditional sixth round pick in 2017. The third round pick is conditional on Payne playing at least one regular season game with the IceDogs, while the sixth round pick is conditional on Payne scoring 35 or more goals.

(August 18, 2014) --- The National Hockey League and the Buffalo Sabres today announced the NHL Combine will move to Buffalo in 2015 and 2016, with the event being held at First Niagara Center and the soon-to-be-completed HARBORCENTER complex across from the arena. The event, which has taken place in Toronto in previous years, showcases the top draft-eligible prospects from North America and Europe heading into the NHL Draft.
The Buffalo Bills today announced that RB Fred Jackson has signed a contract extension with the team. In accordance with team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Since joining the Bills in 2007, Jackson has accumulated 5,121 rushing yards--third on the Bills all-time rushing list. The Coe College product has also racked up 2,139 receiving yards and is just the second running back in Bills history to post 4,000 career rushing yards and 2,000 receiving yards.
United States Light Heavyweight Kickboxing champion Amer Abdallah (14-0) has finally received the news he’s been awaiting his entire career. Last month the World Kickboxing Association informed the Western New York native that he is currently the No.5 ranked kickboxer in the world and with a win on June 7 he will be placed as the mandatory challenger for the world title. “This has been a lifelong dream of mine and it’s now within arms reach.” Abdallah stated.

NEW YORK – It was an historic evening for the University at Buffalo football program as Khalil Mack was selected fifth overall by the Oakland Raiders in the 2014 NFL Draft held at Radio City Music Hall on Thursday. Mack became the highest drafted player in school history as well as the second highest drafted player in the history of the Mid-American Conference.
"I'm excited to be an Oakland Raider. I'm grateful," Mack said. "It's a blessing. It's all about playing football now and that's what I'm looking forward to most."
ORCHARD PARK, NY - The Buffalo Bills will wear a commemorative jersey patch in memory of Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. during the 2014 season. The patch, which bears the initials of the founding owner of the Buffalo Bills, will be introduced on the jersey of the Bills first-round pick during tonight’s NFL Draft.
ALBANY, NY- Today, the Board of Regents unanimously (17-0) approved cheerleading to be recognized as a sport in New York State. The vote follows a recommendation by the P-12 Education Committee yesterday to recognize cheerleading as a sport.
